Tips:

• If the name of the farm is blue with an underline; that's a link to their website or Facebook page. Click on it for the most current hours and information.
• ALWAYS email or call the farm or store BEFORE YOU GO - many farms have closed in the past year, and of course, we won't know until the season starts and we find they aren't open! Call to confirm their supply, their hours and whether they have trees, are allowing choose-and-cut or just precut trees; and which attractions or winter activities are available. All three can change during the short Christmas season, due to weather, demand and the farmer's business conditions! Farms get sold, shut down or run out of trees, and they don't all update me every day, let alone every year. For more tips to make your trip fun and successful, click here !

Colbert County

Directions: ocated about 7 miles south of Tuscumbia Al; Call for directions. Payment: Cash, Check . Our workers will cut, shake & square cut your tree, net it, and load it in/on your vehicle. We also have tree stands. Santa will be with us all day 10:30 to 5:00 on the Friday after Thanksgiving and the next 3 Saturdays from 10:30 to 5:00 and Sundays from 1 pm to 5:00. There are mule-drawn wagon rides with the same schedule as Santa. Rides are $2.00 per person. We have group bonfires and hayrides: Call to schedule for your Church, Youth, or Family group.   Comments from a visitor on December 01, 2011: "They have a mule pulled wagon and Santa the first few weekends they are open. They have a small gift shop and offer hot apple cider. Very nice folks! We love it. Began the tradition with our grown children when they were small and have continued it with our 3 year old."

  Comments from a visitor on January 24, 2008: "Great selection of trees, always great quality and great service (same guy sells them every year). He raises and cuts the trees himself on his tree farm. They take cash and checks - not sure about credit cards. It's a small gated plot just north of Greenlawn Plantation in Meridianville (big sign out front "Smith Tree and Wreath"). They're open during 4th of July too, as a fireworks stand. No bathrooms - it's a small lot with a shed with an enclosed fence which usually has a calf and a small sheep in it. Some years they also sell small potted trees (Colorado blue spruce) for planting."
